Wes' Rib House - Providence

Haven't been here for 10 years! Atmosphere has changed only can eat in bar area) BUT, the Ribs haven't changed, finger lickin good! Not busy or crowded 4-5pm) and great server...

Big east basketball team would flock to this place because the tall players with bigger Appetite Could fill up and sit at the tables! Plus privacy after the game

It's always sad when a restaurant you've loved for years enters a period of decline. Once upon a time, Wes's was a little grubby, a little campy, and a LOT of the best BBQ in Providence. Whether you were there mid day or midnight, the food was the bomb, every time. But, over the past few years, the food has started to have some real consistency issues....sometimes great, sometimes meh, or worse. And the last couple of times, it's just worse, every time. I guess every restaurant will eventually run its course. It's just sad when it's one that has so many really amazing memories attached. Unfortunately Wes's, you are off my rotation. One star, with a second for the restaurant you once were.

Love the BBQ here. Good atmosphere and great service. The sides could use a little work though, except the cornbread. That was delicious. Love the brisket

I've always went here when I was a kid I went today and everything was different were u enter and also before when u came in the front door you would see the food on the grill being cooked that's no longer the way it is there me and my family went to grab a old favorite bbq night my wife got the lamb Wich was in shaved form which was not that good I got the 2 meat plate came with bbq chicken and bbq ribs the chicken was excellent but the ribs were tough the meat was definitely not as I remember it used to fall off the bone but not this time it was so tough I didn't eat the ribs my son also got the 6 piece bbq ribs which he had a hard time eating also the sides that come with the meal are extremely small for the price of the meals and we had hair in our bbq beans smh the bill was about $76 for the 3 of us wosent cheap
