Tokyo - Providence

Great Find!. This place was awesome. A variety of great sushi at a great price. Atmosphere could use some sprucing up but who cares at those prices!

Was once a fan. Tokyo was once a mainstay of our eat out choices, but like sakura service was blotchy. This past time killed it. We suggested tokyo to some friends because the sushi is pretty quality for the price and there is a lot of selection. We all got sushi with myself and GF getting the sushi dinner for two (great price BTW). For the record, I'm a REALLY easygoing customer usually. Here's where it didnt work so well. We brought two bottles of wine and a six pack as per the BYOB. It took us asking literally times to get water and/or glasses for the wine over min later. Our meal we ordered came with soup which we had to fight the server to get because we usually dont do that You do, its right here in the menu Once we got our boat (which was awesome) we asked for some soy sauce dishes and were told they were all out....fine. The worst part was the bill. We just payed a pretty penny for the kind of service you leave a single penny for. I'm a server myself and wasn't that mean, but you bet your butt I talked to the owner who really could have cared less and told us not to come back if we were going to complain. Challenge accepted.

Sushi was okay, but the service was terrible. not only is it dirty to look inside, all the waitress stares at you. it's like they make a picture, why not? it was also smelly in there, how old feet healed. the plates and cuts were all chipped. from any reason the waiters laughed so loud, stared at us, made us feel so unpleasant that we had to get up a holiday. definitiw found it a very rude atmosphere. whether his byob or not, it looks like a complete bomb was going out on this site, can not believe that they actually still open and open to the public.

Was better last time. This time dos was below average. The surf clam was freezer burned and the presentation of the sushi was poor. Won't be coming back.

Pretty awful. All their dishware is chipped, worn out, and just plain gross. My salad tasted a lot like lemon dishsoap. The tempura tastes like old oil. My sashimi was ok. But the whole place looks like it's falling apart. The seats are worn out. It's just not a good place.
