Contribuiți la feedbackWe made a long drive to Providence after listening to a podcast interview on the Plant Strong podcast. We arrived on a weekday soon after the place opened and had lunch on the second level. The food was delicious and our waiter, Cole, was very friendly and attentive. We ordered two pizzas to take home with us, Basil Pesto and Buffalo Chickn (Tofu). Pizzas and our pasta dinners were both very tasty!
I have ordered delivery and pickup several times over the years. Hot delivery items have always arrived cold. They are often out of items in their marketplace this is not kept up to date. They then do not offer an immediate refund or confirmation that z refund is being processed. When they left something out of an order, and I pointed it out to them, the promised refund never came through. The food at their restaurants is extremely overrated, even when one eats there and it arrives at the correct temperature. Please note that this review is based on MULTIPLE VISITS, PICKUPS AND DELIVERIES SINCE THIS LOCATION OPENED IN PROVIDENCE (5 or 6 years ago? . I will no longer bother trying.
First time here. Love that everything is vegan. However we went to the Mexican resturant upstairs. At 3:00 in the afternoon. Not busy at all. Ordered nachos tacos and a mole burrito. They messed up the burrito and brought Chile relleno. And we were half way thru our nachos and our beers haven't arrived. We had to ask a passing server for them. The service was bad. All of the servers were busy on their phones so it was really difficult to tell them they screwed up my husbands order. Nobody checked on us forever. When the server was made aware of the situation she server basically accused him of ordering the wrong thing. Listening would be a good skill for her to develop. And manners. My husband said MOLE about 3 times. If I were the manager I would at least come to the table and make things right. We went way out of our way to come here. Great idea. But the service is terrible.
Nice night at Plant City. Great food and creative options. Enjoyed our meal.
Being from Los Angeles and being Mexican, I had my reservations about eating (vegan)Mexican food in Rhode Island. I’ve eaten at plenty of Mexican vegan restaurants in Southern California and I’ve got to say, Plant City Besina overshadows them. We started off strong with the elote. Personally, I love elote with a little more lemon zing, however, my family said they were perfectly acidic. Then we followed it with memelas. Everything about this dish ? The maza was cooked to perfection! The mushrooms were slightly spicy, which I found delightfully surprising. The beans were lightly salted and smooth. I didn’t think it could get better and then it did. I ate the jackfruit pastor tacos. First bite was heavenly. I have eaten jackfruit pastor and been underwhelmed 98% of the time. I’m happy to say this time was different. After the first bite, I stopped eating to appreciate how balanced and seasoned the taco felt. The tortilla can make or break a taco. I would be surprised to find out that these tortillas are not made in house. I loved the small attention to detail by lightly oiling the tortillas. I rarely see that done in restaurants and executed well. As for my family, they enjoyed the dorados tacos and loved them! They loved them so much they refused to share ? Overall, a lovely experience. If I lived in this city, let alone this state, I would be a “regular” here. Thank you ??
