If they did not try to add this something new supplement to providence federal hill, I highly recommend visiting one as soon as they can. If you've been there before, you probably decided to come back. make sure to make a reservation and say “hi” to umberto, as he explains the southern Italy menu of the day in his passionate sister wise. enoteca umberto offers them a high-quality, Italian comfort food at a reasonable price.

Well I should say food stinks and owner grumpy to make making a reservation easier! Food and beverages presented so you have no choice but have a fabulous night of food and drink with no stress. Nothing pretentious.....just really good food......prepared and served top shelf. A very unique and enjoyable dining experience.

This was the best Italian I 've ever eaten, no question. Not only is the food outstanding, but the service is impeccable. Umberto suggested wine pairings and entree choices that were excellent and he treated everyone like friends and family, even calling fellow Italian patrons 'cousin. ' We finished the meal with a cappuccino and when they discovered the milk didn 't froth to their high quality expectations (it expired 5 days after the date of our visit) they sent someone to get new milk and made me a new cappuccino, the only reason I know about it is because Umberto apologized for the wait! We will absolutely be back!

Friends of mine who have been going here since the opening let me in on this golden gem, and I'm so happy they did! The food is beyond amazing, especially the homemade pastas. The wine selection is equally as amazing. Most of (if not all? the wines are imported from Italy. But by far the most special part of this place is Umberto and his family who put their heart and soul into this place. It truly is like going home for dinner.

This is by far the best Italian you will find in RI. It's the closest thing to having dinner in Italy. The food is fabulous, the atmosphere is excellent and the service is second to none. My recommendation to all my friends is to call and make a reservation. You will never be disappointed. Lia and Umberto keep up the great work!!!!
