California Taco Shop - Providence

As someone of Hispanic descent, I have a good understanding of Mexican cuisine. The prices are great and the flavors are spot on. The hard tacos hold together nicely. I’ll definitely be returning for my Mexican cravings!

I ordered a veggie burrito with guacamole instead of sour cream, along with two containers of the spicy red sauce. It was hands down the best burrito I've ever tasted and ranks as one of the finest meals I can recall. The vegetables tasted freshly grilled, and the onions were sautéed yet still had a nice crunch. The guacamole was creamy and absolutely delightful. The red sauce had the perfect level of heat, and the Spanish rice was tasty but not too overwhelming. I’ll definitely return whenever I’m in the area!

You can't go wrong with this restaurant. The food is excellent. I had a very friendly server who took my order and made sure I had all the utensils I needed. Food: 5/5.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant and I wouldn't recommend it. As a first-time customer, I found the cashier to be rude and impatient. While the food itself was tasty, the portion of meat in the tacos didn't justify the price.

I ordered two steak burritos with all the toppings, but received two burritos that only had cheese, lettuce, and rice. They did replace them and also gave us two Jarritos, but first they asked us to return our burritos so they could open them in front of us to verify the contents.
