A Disappointing Return to Minerva Nostalgia led us back to Minerva, a once-favored spot during our Boston days from 2009 to 2011. Our recent visit, however, was marred by an unwelcoming encounter that has forever altered our view of this establishment. Arriving 15 minutes before the advertised closing time, we were greeted not with the warm welcome of yesteryear but by a stern-faced employee—or possibly the owner—who promptly informed us of the impending closure and the unavailability of buffet refills. Despite the full price being charged, the rationale given was a firm we are closing, leaving no room for the hospitality we once knew. Driven by hunger, we chose to stay, a decision that only led to further disappointment. The experience was a stark contrast to the cherished memories we held, and it 's with a heavy heart that we close the chapter on Minerva, a restaurant that has lost its essence along with us as customers.
