Wassail Wine Bar - Prospect

I loved being able to choose a glass of wine from a list that supported local businesses. Nice vibe, friendly service. Would definitely recommend.

Nice place to stop and grab a drink, platters were nice and did the job for a light snack with a glass of red. Went on a Sunday, promise of live music and atmosphere. Didn’t disappoint! Music can be eclectic and you need to have...an open mind as the crowd seems to be made up of enthusiastic regulars, as there was plenty of patron participation! The place has a great feel, it’s like a rabbit warren with rooms that branch off rooms (outdoor area is rustic but secluded). The mirror room and the ducks are a quaint touch. If you’re looking for something different and a little bit of fun, stop past and grab a drink singing is optional!

Everyone enjoys every night Wassail Wine Bar is open. The different music acts are all fantastic. Great atmosphere and very welcoming.

Wassail wine bar is part of the busy Prospect Road strip. Inside it’s shopfront section there are tables and chairs and a small space to dance. The live music on both occasions we have been has been excellent. Up a set of stairs to the...bar, you will find an excellent selection of wines and other beverages. There is a good but limited menu if you fancy a snack or something more filling, I can personally vouch for the burger. The bar area leads into another larger room where I have attended a private function. The walls are adorned with antique mirrors and a fabulous cherub light fitting. The ambience is a cross of shabby chic with a little bit of class. To the side is a narrow but pleasant outdoor area with tables and chairs. The service is great, the atmosphere is lovely and it’s so nice to have a venue which caters for an older (over crowd where you can get your dance on and have a good time. Judging by the same faces being there on both occasions we have visited tells me this place is a favourite with locals. Saying that we are happy to travel from the other side of town to get here as we know we will have a thoroughly good time.

Via Social Media advertising, visited Wassails to listen to live music. Venue was quaint however no access for disability noted for entrance, bar or bathroom! Tisk, Tisk! Front room grossly overcrowded listening to band, children jumping about like a playground to the music encouraged...by their parents! Also, limited seating is for mature adults first not children. Staff seem oblivious! Unnecessary oversized dining tables further restricting public area; only bar on mezzanine upper floor. Occupation Health risks for patrons TOTALLY unacceptable. Suggestion: replace dining tables with small cocktail tables signage clear to advise parents to keep their children under strict control Provide table service if needed for disabled if needed.
