There was a little misunderstanding with the weight of the lobsters (be sure to check when you choose yours) but the owner was extremely friendly and cleared the mistake immediately. We can only recommend this place and would come back for sure!
Had an enjoyable set menu meal, lovely surroundings and a quality feel to the restaurant. My work colleague had problems walking very far and we couldn't get a taxi so the owner drove us back to our hotel.
Let’s start with the food (which is what most of people here care about to read first… : We ordered a lunch special, two salads and a kids meal for a family of four. It’s a fish restaurant ok so the kids meal is penne pasta either with tomato or green pesto. The tomato penne turned out to be the most satisfying meal of them all . Second best part was the flavor of the herbal topping of the dorade fish I had it just went so fast as the piece of fish was about the size of a cigarette pack (ok, maybe add a matchbox to that size but that’s already pushing it . The vegetables with it were “cooked to death” eggplant, carrots and maybe zucchini? The two salads were a Caesar and a pasta pesto salad. Both suffered from being overly dressing and pesto drenched, with most of the Caesar salad actually rolled up into a ball “glued together” with dressing. All meals were garnished with 2 3 slices of cured ham on top of the dish. Nice of you like ham none of my female guests did so I scored a lot of extra ham after my charcuterie appetizer platter… Now to the ambience/service: the restaurant is in a row with a dozen others along the port, all under a roof but with one sides. We came slightly after the lunch hour, asked for an open table and were told “to the left on the back” to a table on the side of the restaurant. They table turned out to become an open air oven when the sun started coming around and directly burning on the two people unlucky enough to sit at the side of the restaurant. A funny game ensued in sync with the table next over we pushed further into the restaurant and the shade, in steps of maybe a foot at the time, equalling to every 15 min. By the time our first food arrived about 3 feet later we were, well, a good way into the restaurant and clearly uncomfortable which really didn’t bother the waitress. Most other people had finished and many tables open…no chance to get to them. I asked to close the sides a bit to provide some shade it was not possible/permissible. A further foot and half later we finished our much below average meals (see beginning of this review and even forfeited the desert part of our lunch meal deal. Out of the heat into the comfort of the open street after paying the full price but nothing more. Go somewhere else please this owner cares for your money but not for your satisfaction!
This restaurant serves local food from Corse, including fishes from the local port. It might seem expensive but fishes can be shared and menus are affordables. Excellent service!
I can't say enough bad things about this place. Horrible restaurant. Horrible service. Bad food. Better go somewhere else.
