Good, harthy food in a friendly and homely environment. Our favourite local spot for a last minute lunch or dinner with family. Portions are generous and prices really reasonable. This is a family run pub cum restaurant and when we visited, the staff were two sisters (unfortunately I have forgotten their names! On arrival, our greeting was friendly and welcoming whilst maintaining a professional approach. The decoration is attractive and appropriate to the location. The menu has a good variety and our choices were taken, and delivered efficiently and neither too slowly nor to quickly. Our food was attractively prepared and presented and cooked to the highest standard. Drinks has a good variety covering all tastes. All in all an excellent food pub with great food, a great atmosphere and great service. The toilets are well maintained and spotlessly clean.
