During our trip to Haida Gwaii, we needed to stock up on food for the ferry ride and this Deli had a great selection of sandwiches, hot and cold items, as well as individual cheese and meat sticks. The bakery offers rolls, croissants, and desserts. You can also find containers of ready-to-eat mixed fruits and veggie plates in the Aisle section. Everything we tried was fresh and delicious, and much better than the food available on the ferry, not to mention more affordable!
The following morning, we had to catch an early ferry, so I grabbed some sandwiches and grapes from Safeway, which was conveniently located near the Crest Hotel.
I was so badly poisoned by Sushi in Safeway that I was dying. I couldn't move three days for nausea... I couldn't put it in the bathroom for 24 hours.... I had to throw into the sink until I could crawl into the bathroom the next day. I'm a second cook in camps, and that bleeded me away... I love sushi but will never eat again I thought honestly I would have to call out ambulance....
Your deli area offers various salads and meats, like many other grocery stores. But in the north this is not always the case! You can also get prefabricated items such as sandwiches and snack tablets. I noticed that the store was clean, although not many people... clothing masks or physical distancing.
We decided to stop by this restaurant for a quick lunch. We purposely arrived just after 12pm to ensure we would get the freshest batch of menu items, as we did not want to experience the disappointing food we had at Terrace Safeway. Our decision proved to be right, as the dishes on display were hot and fresh. The staff was knowledgeable and offered helpful suggestions. We started with Chicken Wings and Mexican Corn Soup, followed by chicken tenders and fried perogies. The chicken wings were tasty with a spicy ranch sauce, although they didn't quite compare to the ones at P&P. The corn soup was thick and flavorful, while the chicken tenders were crispy and tender. The perogies were large and delicious, served with a generous portion of sour cream. The food was well-packaged to keep it warm and prevent spills. The prices were reasonable, making this restaurant a great option for a budget-friendly lunch. We will definitely consider returning in the future. Yeah!
