Dana Mandi and Indian Restaurant

They have a buffet at lunch and at dinner. It is very reasonably priced and it is delicious. This is a small family run restaurant that is not fancy at all but it makes up for it with the quality of the food.

My partner and his lunch club often eat at Dandi Mandi ( now known as Indian Essence.) Recently he ordered and picked up food for our home consumption. We had goat curry, eggplant pilaf and vegetable rice. All were medium hot. My partner enjoyed the meal and subsequent leftovers while I found it too hot for my western tastebuds. For me, the heat obscured the taste of the food. But that's just me. I know many enjoy this small owner operated restaurant and I suggest you give it a try if you like hot food. Many do.

This place has the best bang for ur buck we have eaten at many many indian restaurants and this isnthe best place in BC for sure try it

I highly recommend the chole pitoura or the vegetable korma. Pretty much everything they make is stellar but those 2 are my faves. This is a smallish, family run business with great food and friendly service :)
