Contribuiți la feedbackI should note, at the outset, that Coach's Corner is now CLOSED, having been recently replaced by Cornerstone. This review will focus on Coach's Corner and NOT its newly named replacement (which I have also been to and will write about at a later date I'm sure). That said, Coach's Corner is (or should I say was?) fine. The food was not lazily prepared; in fact, more often than not, you left satisfied because the meals in themselves were filling; nothing was ever really a disappointment; and the price was right. In fact, every time I ate here the price was even better than what was advertised on the menu because, as a guest at the Ramada hotel, I was granted 15% whatever meal I ordered, so there's certainly no knocking value for money. The times I came here for a meal (lunch or dinner,) I left satisfied: the pizzas were decent (though far from the best PG has to offer;) the burgers were large, but very well seasoned and not overly greasy, or, dry; the chicken wings were always cooked perfectly -- juicy; and the soup was good, but admittedly pretty average in comparison to everything else I've eaten at Coach's Corner. For me, where Coach's Corner loses points is in its overall lack of originality: the laminated tables; cheesy, dated looking chairs; a plethora of beer advertisements; and, the abundance of sports memorabilia made the place seem like any other sports bar (or pub) out there. Add to that the fact that Coach's Corner never had -- at least to my recollection -- any type of signature dish and you're left with an average pub, and that might leave you wondering, "why am I here?" Well, in my case, proximity and the 15% discount certainly helped. I can tell you had Jake's Steakhouse been open during my last visit to Coach's Corner I wouldn't have come here. Now, however, Coach's Corner is closed, having been replaced by Cornerstone. The space -- having been renovated -- certainly looks nicer. Prices appear to have gone up, and I'm not so sure the price increase is justified? The breakfast was only OK, but that's for another review of what is now, technically, a different establishment.FOOD: 2.75/5SERVICE: 2.75/5VALUE: 4/5RECOMMENDATION: This place was good due to proximity and hotel guest discounts, but I can't really say it stands out from any other pub of similar character.
We went to eat and have a drink. My girlfriend does look young for sure but is not 18. We were hotel guests and she was asked for ID at the age of 33. This was because she asked for a drink that is not common. With that we had to leave the table to get ID from hotel room. Looked at menu before and prices were very high.
Recently renovated, looks great ,food is great, nice place. Will have to try the Sunday brunch. Convieniant location
We really appreciated they were flexible with our dining limitations as we are on limited carbs
Updated interior and menue, it's now called Cornerstone. Too bad they didn't improve the service. Sat down at 10:25 am (in an empty restaurant) and waited 10 minutes for service. When she finally came around was told breakfast was no longer being served as it was past 10:30. When I said I'd been waiting for ten minutes there was no real effort to make an exception. Just a sheepish apology and recommendation that I "just order a burger instead." Not impressed.
