The Wellington Bakery

During our trip to PEC, we made a stop at this restaurant towards the end of the day. There were only a few items left on the menu, but the dishes we ordered were fantastic! We will definitely be returning to try their croissants next time.

Their croissants are flaky, not cakes like, but flaky and buttery as croissants should be. the best croissants this side of the atlantic and as good as anyone I had in Europe.

I go at least once a week for brot, croissants, Danish. joe bakes the most delicious pecan tarts. love his brains pie and lasagna too, everything!

Joe makes freshly baked brot and baked daily. good small batch bakery with European note. there the apfelstrudel is amazing and he also has good lunch.

I didn't see too many of the treats mentioned elsewhere in the reviews. But I was going for bread, and they certainly had that. I was a bit horrified that my sourdough was put in a plastic bag that ruins bakery bread quickly because...the trapped humidity spoils the crust quickly. So minus one for that, but otherwise speedy and friendly.
