Contribuiți la feedbackWonderful place in a gorgeous setting in the mountains. Accommodation is very comfortable and the food is delicious. We cannot praise Pasqualuna and Luigi and staff enough- they were so friendly and helpful and created a warm friendly family environment. Luigi gave an impromptu concert after dinner. A special mention to Sofia who had excellent English and interpreted for us throughout but in addition was so friendly and helpful. The hiking was fantastic. Such a wonderful place, not to be missed.
There aren't enough superlatives for Al Chersogno, which we have visited five times now--winter, spring and summer. The people (Pasqualina, Luigi, their family and staff) are as sweet and helpful as possible. The setting high up in the Italian Alps of the Val Maira is simply spectacular. The air is clear and pure, the sky is sapphire blue, and the mountains and trails are unbeatable. Oh, and the food is just outstanding--Pasqualina can cook like nobody else, from handmade ravioli to garden-grown potatoes and carrots to magnificent roasts and savory stews. Please do not pay attention to idiots who complain about late dinners or, even more idiotically, no place to stretch out and relax. After dinner Luigi and friends bring out their guitars and accordions and spontaneous concerts, with everybody singing and dancing, happen all the time. Oh, and in the adjacent room you can play cards, board games, drink liquor, and (in the winter) warm by the fire until late at night. What else do you want? If you miss 500 cable channels or a private jacuzzi, please go somewhere else. This place is for gorgeous nature, wonderful food and drink, and the warmest fellowship.
It's a little paradise with great views, excellent food, super friendly owners and staff. Just go and see yourself. Petra
Lovely place, attention to detail with a beautiful view of the mountains. special welcome and very kind waiters. menu' based on products of their production, all delicious, excellent cuisine. It's a place I recommend. I hope to come back soon.
I and my husband stayed in this farm on advice of a friend. As soon as we arrived, despite the bad weather prevented the view of the wonderful surrounding landscape, the warm colors of autumn vegetation welcomed us with a hug. the accommodation is a typical mountain house and adorned with many wooden creations. the reception of the staff immediately created a family context. the room on the ground floor, without architectural barriers, very small and above all well heated, allowed a pleasant stay. we were surprised by the charm of the common rooms wisely adorned by times and exposed bricks. the kitchen was the master of our living room: breakfasts with bread, jams, eggs and tarts of own production as well as other options available. lunches and dinners based on raw materials of own production such as beets, eggs, cabbages, potatoes, etc. only to mention some tried dishes we mention potato dumplings, polenta in various versions, savory cakes, calf tonnato, rabbit., all cooked at the moment and well hot! We can recommend the farm to all mountain lovers as well as lovers of home cooking as a rule of art.
