Premise: I give five stars because they cannot give six. After a weekend in Abruzzo in which, for one reason or another, the tried premises had been somewhat disappointing, before returning to Rome today we were very pleasantly surprised by this restaurant that had been recommended from several parts even from outside Pratola. Sunday at lunch at 14, tables almost completely full, local old mold. We took, waiting for about twenty minutes, two first: car pappardelle (they are maltagliati to the truffle, porcini and cheek) and ricotta ravioli and spinach to the tomato sauce. We fell in love with the sick! The ravioli also very good (just the sauce was a bit 'insipid), but the true consolation was the meat: a veal steak that literally melted in the mouth and a really phenomenal mixed roast, inside which there were also two roasts, only two but with a much better cooking than the 20 eaten elsewhere the night before. Even the fries with the peel were exceptional. In the end, as a golosi there was total indecision in front of the sweet fridge, with a really photonic selection (I dangled for a quarter of an hour in front of a thousand tiramisu and cheesecake before deciding), and a bitter brought in a frozen glass. I think we will come back from Rome for a few Sunday lunches on which to go safely, also because the prices are absolutely lower than the average.
Maybe I had too high expectations, and I was disappointed. The club had already several clients when we arrived at 12.35 a weekday, but the tables are too close and I imagine that, with more confusion, it is impossible to talk. We ordered a guitar and a portion of ravioli that, ahimè, are ricotta and spinach instead of only ricotta as from tradition promised by the restaurant. The portions are exaggerated, but the sauce was very aqueous and did not remain attached to the pasta. According to a portion of mixed roast and ten roasts, small and a little dry, I stayed in the middle of my teeth and bothered me even after washing my teeth. Pasticcio with the salad that first brought us but that we postponed back because there were cucumbers and corn (not specified in the menu) and then there never arrived only green salad because left on another table. Finally, we closed with a portion of classic tiramisu (but they propose many varieties, beautiful 'assortimento on the semifreddi of the house) divided into two and two coffees, for a total of approximately 55 euros, with two covers, a 'water from 75 cl and a quatrain of wine of the house. I thought I'd spend a little less. The waiters are courteous and smiling, but the boy is straluted and commits trivial errors by distraction, then swinging service.
A pleasant discovery of this pizzeria restaurant. Pleasant the outdoor square is aired despite the heat of these days, very good pizza. Fast and courteous in service.
We've been to dinner twice at this place. It is advisable to book even in the week if you are in many because the local is always full, at least in the outside. The place is really wide, the boys who serve at the table very young but professional, the service was quite fast. Good quality of food, during the two dinners we ate the pappardelle of the cart (2 times delicious), cut with rocket and grain, potatoes with peel, a pizza 2 tastes truffle mortadella/pistacchio/stracciata and we were absolutely satisfied. The outdoor room is very suggestive with wooden cover and is refreshed with large fans, it is true that if full is noisy but the space between the tables is quite wide. Obviously we went in the week and on the take (20/20.30) allowed us to avoid the fight. I recommend it.
