Excellent, creative dishes. The staff was wonderful! I highly recommend the rabbit pasta if it's still on the menu.

Fabulous ambiance from the patio. The food was quite creative, but ultimately, rather pedestrian. Overpriced for the quality. The duck meatballs were good. The rye pierogi was so so. The duck liver was excellent. The fried oysters were not good. The pork chop was okay. For all the hype I would have expected better. Go for drinks, outside, and the view.

Phenomenal Lobster toast!! Really the whole menu is fantastic though. The black cod is one of the top 2 fish dishes I have ever had. Plus the stuffed chicken was amazing. Moral of the story is: eat here and thank yourself

Recently stayed at the Inn at Meadowbrook for two full weeks (due to family issues) and spent most evenings at the bar at Verbena (also due to family issues — ha ha). Bartenders Joe and Tim made Verbena feel like a home away from home with personable service and amazing original cocktails. And the food coming out of the kitchen was delicious from appetizers to dessert. Put Verbena on your list for anything from a full sit down dinner or just a drink at the bar.
