Restaurante Snack Bar Esperanca

We had a few hours to kill waiting for our flight and decided to leave the small airport for a beer or 2. This place is a treasure! While we were drinking, we noticed quite a few locals coming in for lunch. We still had an hour or so, so we ordered what everyone else was having; the 1/2 of a chicken, rice, salad, and french fries... only to find out it was the special for the day and that it came with soup, bread, and a beverage. The food was superb. The chicken moist and flavorful, the soup (chicken with rice) was seasoned perfectly. I wish I could get the recipe and have it at home for those wet rainy days when soup and bread are essential! I didn’t mention that the beers were 1 euro... and the special was 6.50 euros. So for 10.50 euros tip, we left with happy taste buds and happy tummies!

Local restaurant with terrace just in front of airport entrance. Many locals. Very friendly welcome. We had 2 house steaks with fries , bread , butter and a good bottle of red wine from Reguengos. It was very good. Total bill €21. Incredible !!!

The food was excellent, the wait staff was friendly, and the prices were very reasonable! I would recommend eating there before taking off on your flight

This is my favorite airport bar in the world. Go across the street before your flight. Excellent espresso! Amazing prices. Save yourself some money and eat well before flying home, wherever you're from. This is the spot! The Polvo the just delicious, a little tangy and a nice sea flavor. Potatoes... Everything perfect!
