Pizzerie Green Tomato

We found this place while looking for another restaurant. We were greeted right at the door by friendly waiter which that in itself is unusual in Prague. The friendly part is what I am referring to. We were pleasantly surprised. 3 of us got pasta: carbonara, tagliatelle with pancetta and pasta with pesto. Pastas were good with decent size servings. I couldn't finish mine. My husband got a pizza which he really enjoyed. This was a good change of pace from Czech food.

Although located in a super touristy area they aren't willing to help with your attempts at Czech and they do NOT speak any English. See attached photo as proof. I ordered a salad with sauce on the side and no mozarella. The waiter nodded like he understood and brought back a disgusting salad absolutely drenched in dressing that looked nothing like I ordered. Free WiFi and a good location from famous monuments. Plenty of space to sit inside and a bathroom are the only things saving this place from 1 star. The food and service are bad.

This place really disapointed us! We trusted the reviews and thought this would be a above average Italian restaurant. Unfortunately it was below average. The starters bruchetta and salad capreese were no good, no flavour to it and tge products seemed of a cheap standard. For main course we had A pizza that was okay but the dough wasent crispy. We also had a pasta dish, we expected it to be with real spaghetti but indtead it was pasta screws of a low standard that you buy in a supermarket, and they werent cooked through so they were a bit hard, the dish it self lacked taste. We also had a rissoto, it tasted okay, but got a bit dry after eating half of the dish, it just wasent creamy enough. I wouldent reccomend this place if you like authentic italian food. Instead i would reccomend Pasta Fresca not far away but miles ahead and with real authentic italian food.

We are here three times during our trip Ok service overall. Cool atmosphere. Overall everything was very reasonably priced. I had one of the steak specials the first time. Great for the price. I had them make the sauce without cream and it was incredibly better. Fries were super crispy and perfect All the pastas are homemade. My wife got one with sea bass and it was delicious. All the pastas are homemade. The sauces vary. You almost can't go wrong. The pizzas are thin crust and delicious. Heavy toppings. Great flavor overall and very inexpensive. Beer is cheap and flowing. Enjoy you can't go wrong here.

The best pizza I've eaten in Prague. Amazing service and prices and the dishes are big enough to share if you're on a budget.
