Contribuiți la feedbackHotel Clementin is a cozy and quaint boutique hotel situated in the heart of the historical centre of Prague, between famous Charles Bridge and Old town square, making it easily walkable to food, shops, and historic sites. Prior to our stay we were given helpful directions regarding parking as parking can be confusing and tricky in a historic city. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. (I wish I could remember her name! We were offered Prosecco and pastries upon check in. She guided us to our room, carrying our luggage up 2 flights of stairs, while directing us to the small lift. The room was small, but quite comfortable. The plentiful toiletries were more than we could possibly use in our two night stay. The Wi Fi was reliable. The breakfast had a substantial number of offerings including hot items sausage, beans, potatoes, and eggs. And, a variety of cereals, breads, meats, cheeses, and fruits. Apple and orange juice were also available. Be sure to take advantage of the fact that Prosecco and coffee are available 24/7 using their automatic coffee machine that includes espresso, lattes, and cappuccinos. I feel like they thought of everything. I've stayed in hotels with much larger buffets with far less offered. Our experience was exceptional!
My wife and I stayed for 3 nights at this hotel in mid-October 2016. Here are the strengths of this property: 1. Outstanding location very close to the Charles Bridge and to Old Town Square. In spite of its great location, it was still reasonably quiet. 2. Free breakfast that had a nice variety of items to choose from. 3. Free wi-fi that actually worked unlike some hotel wi-fi's that did not. 4. While we did not use it, the staff offered to change foreign exchange at rates that were reasonable. 5. Historic building originally built in the 14th century added a bit of an extra charm. My peeves about this property: 1. The room itself was tiny so much so that even with just a few pieces of luggage it became very hard to move around. 2. This is a small hotel with few rooms and while that makes a 24X7 reception unlikely, we should have been informed of that by the hotel. The night we came into Prague at 11 p.m. we had a shock when we found the property door closed before realizing how we would have to let ourselves in. 3. It was hard to find this place from the nearest subway stop. For one, it was very difficult dragging luggage over cobblestones but we were swayed by the description that this was a 5-minute walk. It is NOT. Also there were no signs which denoted this property clearly and we walked past the hotel twice without even noticing it. I would recommend that the property provide clear walking directions on its website to people who might use the subway and also a bit of illumination. 4. While the breakfast was good, the staff did not replenish items diligently.
This is a perfectly located hotel if you don't have much time to explore this beautiful city. There are only about nine rooms or so. They aren't large by any standard, but comfortable if you're not looking for anything fancy. Pluses; location, location, location! Only a couple of minutes walk to the Old Town square, and to Charles Bridge in room safe and hairdryer really friendly and approachable staff The triple room offered a view facing onto the main street which was great after a long day of sight seeing watching the tourists meandering along the street below. It was also across the road from Thaiworld which offered authentic traditional Thai massages for about £20ph. Minuses; the double room on the top floor has a bathtub but with a slanted ceiling the shower is a hand held one only which was a bit annoying to use. the breakfast was a bit repetitive with no hot offerings, (but then again with so many places to eat nearby this doesn't effect my overall rating so much). free wifi was a bit hit and miss Be warned that mozzies are abundant. We forgot to shut our window one night and lived (just about) to regret it the next morning...seriously they are huge. We paid about £460 for a triple and double for three nights in September 2009. A very reasonable price for such a superb location.
We booked this hotel based on location. It is near the Charles Bridge and is a great starting point for anything you'd like to do. This very old building has been converted into a modern hotel. This is kind of heart breaking, imagining the old charm, but the owners have focused on utilizing all space. Our room was incredibly small, but who wants to spend a lot of time in a hotel room in Prague? We arrived at 6:30 pm in the evening and the hotel had arranged for a pick up for us at the airport. The 26 Euros was well spent for an uncomplicated trip into Prague. Our driver did an excellent job of navigating the crowded streets. The reception desk shuts down at night, but they make sure you are able to enter and find your room. Our driver helped us through all of this. We took the very small elevator to our room. You have to ignore the attempts to make this very old building look modern with the addition of sleek marble, glass, and metal. As I said, the room was small, but had everything you could want. Efficiency is a priority here. You must put a card in a slot in order to have electricity. The card is attached to the room key, so when you leave, the electricity goes off, meaning you can't charge devices when you are out of the room. The blow dryer had a button you had to constantly hold down to operate. This was annoying. Our hosts left a bottle of Czech wine as a greeting. This was a nice welcome. The hotel can be loud at times, as the marble seems to create echoes. Breakfast was included. There was a very nice buffet every morning. There was a nice selection of meats, cold and hot, cheeses, breads and pastries, cereals and eggs, scrambled, fried, and boiled. The coffee maker could produce a variety of beverages. When we were planning our departure with the front desk, they arranged for the driver once again and gave us advice on our departure time. Despite having to leave at 5:00 am, our driver was on time. The hotel offered to make us a box breakfast t since we couldn't take advantage of our last buffet. This was a very kind gesture, but we declined. It may lack the old world charm I enjoy in Europe, but the price, location, and breakfast would bring me back!
