Contribuiți la feedbackThis quaint health store offers a variety of vegan products such as tofu, tempeh, plant-based milk, and vegan cheese. They also have unique items like kombucha and tapioca pudding that were new to me.
I also made the mistake of purchasing an expensive bottle of water without realizing that there was free water available next to the till. The cafe was busy, but we managed to find a cozy and comfortable seat next to a window. We also dined at Maitrea and Clearhead over the next few days, both of which offered higher quality food and service at a similar price point. Overall, Country Life provided a welcome escape from the tourist trap cafes in the area.
Country Life packs a lot into its small footprint, with a comprehensive selection of healthy dry goods, drinks, refrigerated items (including Czech-style vegan meats , and freshly baked breads and pastries. I picked up a few vegan pastries that i very much enjoyed. On the left side of the pastry rack, there are a few pieces of paper that detail the ingredients of some of the items in the case, so it 's relatively to figure out what suits your dietary preferences.
If you head towards the river from Wenceslas Square, this shop, which combines a restaurant just to the rear, is hard to miss. A variety of items are stocked, such as dairy-free cheeses, sandwich spreads, cereals, snack bars and tofu, as well as imported ingredients such as miso and sea vegetables, which are less common in the Czech Republic. In my experience, the staff are friendly and helpful and are able and willing to speak English. Accepts card payments.
This store has one of best selection of veggie and meatless food in Prague. It also has some greek, middle east, bio etc. options. It is very easy to find. Check out opening hours as they may vary depending on months. Closed on Saturdays.
