Ahidden gem,Very busy for midweek out of season. Fair choice on menu,well priced.When delivered a large platefull well cooked,made up for the long wait(nearly 1hr)

Following recommenndation from a cafe in town by the clock tower and a previous visit many years ago we booked (luckily as busy) for evening meal the food arrived in good time and both meals were excellent

Just had a great meal, staff lovely and friendly, even though just here for a few days would definitely come back when in the area again

We ate here this evening and were very impressed with the food. Great value for money in a very cosy pub oozing with character and charm.

Preboooked a table here for Saturday 23rd September 2023 as we knew it would be busy, was recommended by an ex work colleague so we thought we would give it a try. My partner had the venison burger and I had the 12 oz rump steak both meals were spot on and good value for money the burger and steak were very tasty. We will definitely come here again as we found the pub very friendly with a good atmosphere love these old country pubs. Thanks Mark.
