The downsides were the poor wifi, weak AC, and some wear on the furniture, but overall I would stay here again. I recommend this place for budget travelers or those who don't mind if the hotel is not top-of-the-line.
We love this restaurant for its delicious coffee and food. It has a beautiful view and a charming heritage-like atmosphere. It's one of our favorite places to dine.
There was no food available at this restaurant. The hot water was not working on the first day, and the carpeting was absolutely filthy. The beds were very old and the stairs were very steep with no elevator. The manager did not speak English. Overall, the place was semi-clean.
While waiting for an early morning ferry I walked up the hill looking for a place to get a coffee. Marine Inn is located right on the corner of Marine Drive and had just opened so I got the first cup of coffee fresh out of the pot. Decided to take a chance on a bacon, egg, breakfast muffin. It was a wonderful surprise! Freshly cooked egg, freshly fried bacon (real bacon strips) on a warm English muffin. I forgot how good these can taste nothing like the prefabricated ones at the fast food chains.
Oh my dear god ..... we had no choice but book here because everywhere else was booked . We booked a room for 3 people. Showed up after a very long journey with only 2 hours sleep to find a seedy , dirty dump of a hotel and a room with only a double bed in it and nowhere for our 3rd person to sleep. The room was dirty, dingy and old . The whole place should be renovated because it isn't even vintage/old, it is worn out old . The man at the front counter DOES NOT SPEAK ENGLISH and we had to talk through HIS phone on a translator . He refused to refund our money when he had no other rooms for us for our 3 people . Terrible place and terrible customer service . We ended up driving to Lund and finding a place along the way .
