Contribuiți la feedbackOrdered the xlbs and pan fried pork and chive dumplings which were both quite nice also ordered some greens on the side which I also recommend. If you’re craving dumplings in Potts Point, check out this restaurant :
I remember that I wanted to celebrate my birthday with 2 friends and of course I wanted to eat dumplings as I love them so much) and we wanted to go straight after work, so I found this very small place on Victoria steert in potts point. It is really small, like few tables inside and outside. We ordered several types of dumplings and they were good. Not exceptional but related to the price the quality was fine.
I stopped here for a quick afternoon Xiao Lao bao fix and was blown away. <br <br This is a teeny, unassuming little rickety shop with dumplings that'll blow your mind. Move over Din tai fung, I rate these pork dumplings as delicate and soupey and tasty as your award winning crab xiao Lao bao. <br <br Tips don't forget to ask for the vinegar chopped ginger as they wont give it to you automatically.
Located on the same stretch of street that houses Merivale’s Miss G’s is this non descript chinese hole in the water. The fitout is fairly simple with hanging fabric and chinese lamps. The fried dumplings seen above came out looking rather fancy; they’d put that in a pan, and then it crusted up to form a rather doilly like mesh around the dumplings. crispy. The filling was good too. $12 The boiled dumplings were the same; but boiled and also fairly decent when dipped in soy/vinegar/chilli. $12 this hung from the roof. Overall, this was a decent meal. Its a bit of a hike up from anywhere so its probably best for Potts Point locals craving a chinese dumpling fix.
Take your pick, all the dumplings are all good!. This places takes making the most of a small space to new heights. They manage to cram a lot of people into a space the size of a takeaway container. Footpath tables are configured like Tetris and the inside is a series of tightly packed built-in booths and tables.<br/ <br/ But you don't come here for décor (or the service for that matter! . Forget everything else on the menu, you come here for dumplings! Take your pick—pork and cabbage dumplings, pork and chives dumplings, egg and chives dumplings, beef dumplings, lamb dumplings, chicken and corn dumplings, seafood dumplings, vegetarian dumplings—they are all good! But make sure you get the Xiao-Long Bao soup dumplings!
