Sugo Osteria Pizzeria - Potomac

We had an excellent dinner! The martini was fantastic, and the pizza and pasta were delicious. Even the kids enjoyed their meal, and the atmosphere was lively with a game on TV!

We started with a charcuterie and cheese platter, and every selection was amazing. We nearly tried everything on the menu, but my favorites were definitely the chorizo and bacon. Next, we ordered the fried chicken, an arugula salad (just for a touch of green), fried Brussels sprouts (which were so perfectly cooked they hardly seemed green), gnocchi in a delightful cream sauce, shrimp, and calf sliders. I couldn't resist the chicken meatballs—they were so beautifully spicy that I didn’t even reach for the red pepper flakes. Everything was spot on, and they also provide as much delicious bread as you want to go along with your meal. As I mentioned, I was really eager to love this place, especially since it's just around the corner from us. Sometimes, our outings are limited, and having a fantastic local spot is a blessing, especially with two kids and demanding jobs that don’t always allow us to venture into DC for dining. I can’t wait to return, especially since we didn’t get the chance to try the pizza last night!

Sugo Cichetti is a collaboration between the owners of Cava and Mamma Lucia. The restaurant features small plates that embrace the Italian dining concept. I enjoy Cava to some extent, although it tends to be quite loud. However, I'm pleased to see another addition to the Rockville dining scene, especially after the recent arrival of Founding Farmers.

Put your hands down, Sugos have the best bearders in Montgomery County. Salvador was the best. Trust me, please, for bartender Salvador. He's got a great service all afternoon, buddy. The food was delivered within minutes and drinks were refreshed without asking. Brunch times are 1030AM to 3PM every weekend. There are also 18 items in the Brunch menu. All of them are tapas style and actic or suitable for individuals.

What's not to love about this place? The exquisite food, the bustling atmosphere, the $35 endless brunch, the wonderful staff, the excellent management (Jenna)... All these things contribute to making Sugo Osteria a fabulous venue for dining out, or for brunch. And speaking of Brunch, simply outstanding!!!
