Overpriced. I got a pretty basic bagel with lox and it rang up over $15. I would expect to pay this for a really good sandwich, but alas, this is no extraordinary sandwich. I could go to the grocery store and spend 15-20 and make my own for a small family and it would be more rewarding not having the guilt of spending so much for basic overpriced food
Wife and I stopped by to pick up some bagels and coffee to go after working out at the Lifetime to cross the street. For to go orders, you walk to the right as soon as you enter and order from the counter. Service was great, and the atmosphere was nice for a quick grab-and-go bagel, but dine-in has table service for you if you wish.We each got an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese and a coffee with cream. The bagel was fantastic, but we weren't huge fans of the coffee. We've heard the pastrami sandwich is delicious here. Will try it and update review. If it's good, I would give this place 5 stars.
We were up in Rockford at lunchtime and my wife had a craving for pastrami. Me being from NYC and she from San Francisco, we have pretty high standards for deli food. Brooklyn's Deli did not disappoint. My double-decker sandwich of pastrami and corned beef with cole slaw was delicious and messy like it should be. I got a couple of knishes to go. I wish it were closer to our home in NoVA.
We had an extremely rude lady who showed utter indifference to me and my wife 's presence and never came to our table even after we were seated and looking at our menus for over 10 minutes or so. I am usually calm even when confronted with bad service but I really lost my cool and we just left but not before being met with a sarcastic bye from this person. I believe I saw others in here complaining about her as well.
