Contribuiți la feedbackI have been visiting Water Margin with my kids for a while now and decided to check the reviews online after seeing their new offer last weekend. I was surprised to see all the negative feedback! When choosing a place to dine, it's important to remember that this is a buffet and not a Michelin star restaurant. I have always found the staff to be kind to my family and the food to be fresh. While it can get busy at times, I believe it offers good value for money and would recommend it for a casual meal rather than a romantic night out.
I like the idea of the buffet because i really like to try new things and this gives me the opportunity to do it. I think that it feels a bit like a cattle market tho it's large and has no atmosphere they don't have music playing and all you can hear is the din of everyone talking. Staff are very helpful tho and very efficient and the food is good generally
We hosted our Christmas party at Water Margin on Friday and it turned out to be a fantastic decision. I would definitely recommend it to all groups! The restaurant offers great value for money, there was no wait for our food, and everything was fresh. Everyone in our group was able to find their favorite dish, including the vegetarians. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly. The restaurant was busy when we were there, so it may not be the best choice for a first date due to the noise level, but it is perfect for groups. Make sure to try the chicken teriyaki when you visit!
For the best value, choose the lunch menu at this restaurant. Although there are fewer options, there is still plenty to choose from. I recommend trying the stir-frys, which are prepared in front of you by the chefs. Be aware that drinks are pricey and you will be charged for water. This restaurant is known for its fast-paced, high-volume atmosphere, but it offers good value for the money. It may not be the ideal spot for a romantic first date, but it is a great choice for a hungry group of friends.
I really hate this place, although I have some friends who seem to like it and so I have been a few times.Firstly, the place is like a giant canteen it's noisy, cramped and always busy hence only one star for ambience! And secondly, the food. For a chinese buffet restaurant, the choice is quite good I suppose, but as is common with buffets the food is of a lower standard than if you were to go to an a la carte restaurant...it's always a bit greasy, with overcooked meat and bright orange sauces. They also have a wok bar where you pick the raw ingredients, and then they cook it for you while you wait. I tried this the last time I visited, selecting some chicken and vegetables. I really wish I'd missed the chicken out it had clearly been filled with water, and it basically just dissolved in my mouth after it was cooked, which made me feel a little queasy! I like my chicken to actually have a bit of texture!Overall if you want to really stuff your face with not great chinese food...go for it. If not, then you wont get your moneys worth at this place!
