Contribuiți la feedbackI can't express enough how wonderful this museum is. Upon entering, you step into an interactive chamber featuring a narration by a very familiar and iconic voice. Visitors meet Henry VIII and experience the sinking of the Mary Rose. Seeing the ship up close is truly amazing; it occupies the center of the building, and you can walk around it across various displays and floors. The ship is kept in relative darkness, which suddenly brightens up, allowing you to grasp its impressive scale. There's a hologram display that projects videos of actors and members of the crew right onto the ship, which our children absolutely loved. On the top floor, visitors can finally enter the actual ship's chamber, which our kids found quite thrilling. The experience is both eerie and enchanting. We visited during the school holidays, and the children were invited to participate in special activities organized by the museum, as well as their own workshops. There are also interactive exhibits throughout the building for younger guests to enjoy. We can't wait to return!
Absolutely fantastic museum with a welcoming atmosphere. The displays are very well-designed, and there’s a wealth of information and artifacts to explore. One point to note: there are many skeletal remains on display. The coffee and muffins in the café were excellent as well.
We marked the mary rose museum as our only attractions on the tickets we bought. there was a big group of us, and this seemed the best bet for adults and children. we picked up well and the mary rose didn't disappoint. the attraction is well managed with friendly and dedicated staff. they have practiced the asks both from the young and from the old, and really helped to inflame passion and wonder for this piece of history. the exhibits are a miracle and the owners see gives them a small look into what can live on board one of these ships. the ship itself is something else. on the one hand it is a large ship, but in comparison to modern ships feels surprisingly small. it could have been diminutiv, but not less formidable for them. the cannon display was fantastic with the children in the position to engage and regain more amazement about how everything would have worked on board. the life as a sailor/soldier would have been very hard in the fact. there are so many informations here that they could easily lose while away hours they lose themselves in rich tapis series of history. while the younger children will walk around at a point, older children and adults will love what is in the offer.
It's truly impressive. I was in a hurry, and even on a slow day, it still took two hours. The staff is exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. It really makes me appreciate how glad we are to have been able to experience this place. The admission fee is very reasonable as well.
Great attraction. Very interesting exhibits well laid out. Amazing to think how old it is. The ship itself is so interesting to look at. You see something different every floor you go up.
