Brought my son here for his first full English (he's American) and was not disappointed. The food was great and well priced. Staff were friendly and gave excellent service. Will definitely stop here on my next visit to Pompey!

I have visited a handful of times and thought i'd write a review. Love their breakfasts! Lorn sausage and white pudding were new to me. Menu caters for all appetites. Good selection of alcohol. I tried my first Baby Guinness here on St Patrick's day, which I really enjoyed! Followed by a pint! Hurry The Jug are a traditional Irish band and i've been lucky to have caught them a couple of times being a musician myself I really appreciate hearing great live music and even moreso with HTJ as my grandparents were Irish and our Nana used to play this kind of music all of the time. Friendly service and will no doubt be back. I believe they have a pie menu

Our first visit. Special for St Patrick's day. We were made to feel very welcome. The Irish band were brilliant. We will be back.
