Croque Maison - Portsmouth

As a regular visitor and a close friend, I was surprised to learn that this place has been around for two years. The house beer was outstanding, and their selection of bottled beers is unmatched anywhere in Portsmouth. The food was exceptional, and the service was fantastic. I can’t wait to bring my dear friend here; I will definitely spread the word. All I can say is, "Kwak on tap!"

I had lunch today with my partner at a place we've only visited before for drinks. The food was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend the beef carbonade and the marinated mussels, paired with twice-cooked fries. The beer selection is great, and the staff was attentive. The location is cozy too. We will definitely be coming back!

We really enjoyed our lunch! We had no idea there were so many different flavored beers available; the coconut aroma beer was surprisingly delightful! We were also grateful for the suggestion to order a small starter, but even with that warning, I still couldn’t finish my main course of beef carbonade. It was such a shame because it was absolutely delicious. I plan to return after a day or two of fasting so I can do it justice!

My children brought me here to miss the crowds, the morning treatment of the early mother and what a leak it was. really friendly and helpful staff. amazing choice of beer. beautiful ambiente and funny feel comfortable about the place. Finally eating, how can something be so easy as delicious. we have all chosen the croque madame and it was delicious. next time I have to make space for a starter or pudding! really nice couple hours spent there.

I'm over from Germany visiting family and friends. I visited here on Friday night. Really friendly staff, and a great selection of beers from around the world. Very impressed the Paulaner Weißbier is on tap too: A truly great place with a wonderful atmosphere. Will be back sometime.
