Fat Belly's Grill And - Portsmouth

We had a different expectation for this restaurant as it's on OpenTable in reality it's VERY casual (food served in baskets with a paper lining) and all fried food tasted like the oil was old. Wouldn't go back....

Met family for lunch. The fries are wonderful, and everyone enjoyed their burgers, I paid the extra for the local grass fed beef it made for a tasty burger.

Without question one of the best burgers I've ever had. Asked for it medium well, and it came out medium well. Rarely happens. Hand cut salt and vinegar fries, cooked to perfection. Waitress was attentive checked in twice during the meal. She made it known she was there, but wasn't annoying about it. Window seating at sunset made for great conversation too. Prices were reasonable for downtown Portsmouth. Bottom line: it's a pub. Kind of tight seating, but so worth it.

Excellent pub burgers and sandwiches Casual atmosphere. Apps times perfectly before our meal Great sangria. We were an hour early for reservations due to pouring rain we were seated immediately .

They were closed for when we made reservations. Second time OpenTable has done this to me. Not sure the problem.
