Custom House Coffee - Portsmouth

I love it.. So sweet and hip. I ordered the breakfast Burrito (egg, cheese, salsa and spinach on full wheat package). It was delicious and filled! The coffee was great. My friend ordered the 333 pancakes and bacon. Perfect amount for breakfast and sat on the window with a sweet view. I loved this place and wished that I lived closer so I could stop all the time and grape a cup. Will be back!

That was my second time at Portsmouth Publick House. My first experience was fantastic simply a 4.5-star experience. Food was better than expected and service was great. We have a beer, Margarita Sampler-Ding, Schwein Nachos and a BBQ pizza. The drinks were great, Nachos were amazing (Riesenportion, which they all shake on a pizza and bake, the pizza is huge (16” and really good. This second time, however, was less than stellar probably 3.5 stars. My wife and I thought the car museum on the street was a fundraiser and thought we would bite ourselves quickly as we enjoyed it for the first time. Unfortunately, the nachos were burned this second time and the service was somewhat slow. The fried pimples and Asian dumplings were great. One thing I did not love (personal preference was that they did not serve Coke products (only Pepsi). As a DC addict, that was a disappointment. Our server was friendly and accommodating but has not looked very often. I'm sure I'll be back, but maybe a little picker with the timing and order.

Very impressed, had a Cuban sandwich with the best sweet potatoes I've ever tried. Husband with very satisfied with his baked lobster role. Fast super friendly service, will return.

Food is fine. Things came out lukewarm, but tasted good. Good beer selection.
