Everything feels rushed to get more people in and clock up revenues. The mussels were certainly not fresh and we left the whole plate. The carbonara looked everything but what you would expect! Left the whole plate too...
A very successful evening. The service was very good and quick. The food is very authentic and good (also for the children). Gladly again!
The first couple minutes were okay. Then the waiter asked us very impatiently and rude what we‘d like to eat. After a long time and several reminders, my starter arrived. It was nothing special but I‘ve had worse. After more minutes of waiting...and several more reminders, the main dish arrived. The entrecote of my girlfriend was of poor quality and one fry had a moldy spot on it. My paella was good but for that price this was the least it could be. Throughout the whole evening we couldn‘t shake the feeling that the staff didn‘t like us because we were non-french speakers. We were polite and tried our best ordering in french. I cannot stress this enough: If you like good quality food and good service, this is not the place for you!
The restaurant itself looks very lovely and their standard dish is paealla which is quiet good. The other food (cannelloni) tasted microwaved (definitely was which is pretty disappointing. All in all the staff clearly wants to serve you fast you get the meals after...approximately minutes after ordering. That makes the ambient pretty stressful and that made us uncomfortable. They clearly want to get you out of the restaurant fast to get new tourists in. All in all it is the kind of restaurants in Porto/Vecchio that just serve tourists and where no local is seen.
