Il Pescatore - PORTO VALTRAVAGLIA

We visited the restaurant on a Thursday in August 2020 with 10 people, including 4 children. First we had to wait 1 hour until the first time a waiter came up to us. It took another 30 minutes to get wine and water. Sadly, the glasses were all dirty and there was no possiblilty for new glasses. The meal arrived another 30 to 60 minutes later and was average to bad. Waiting time, Service quality and dirty wine glasses (all ten!!!! are a no go. That's sad, because you can sit very well in the garden of the restaurant.

Lunch with a friend we selected the special two course and enjoyed our food and good company together . Although dessert was extra it was worth it

A good evening meal especially if it is a fish dish you are looking for. The salt encased fish being a highlight.

Very good food and ambiance. If it’s warm outside there is a nice outdoor terrace to sit. They make me vegan pizza every night which I appreciate friendly staff but a bit slow some nights. We didn’t mind as we liked the food so much.

I realy don't understand the good recommendations. Been here multiple times now since i thought everybody can have a bad day. Short: dirty glasses on table (i mean really dirty. You clean the yourself before pouring anything in) food took 2.5 hours food came not at once but each person and different time no staff service after order 1 drink for you thats it. During our dinner there were multiple guests which just left do to the long waiting time for drinks food and staff at all. We waited around 1 hour before we got 1 appetizers plate and another 1.5h for our actual food, which was cold when delivered. Dont get me wrong, the fish tastes good but that's it. If you ordered 1 drink at the beginning you wont see any waiter to ask for more until you get your food. Considering that took them each time at least 1 hour service is terrible. They are very friendly but slow and understaffed. I will not come again since i dont think 3 hours for a dinner is appropriate when i leave with a half empty stomach, cold food in my belly and a rage in my chest due to the same experience over and over. 2 stars for decent fish but thats it.
