Contribuiți la feedbackAn insult to Italian cuisine... had a Caprese salad and what I was served was a joke. 5 sliced cherry tomatoes and 4 slices of an unrecognizable cheese (certainly not buffalo mozzarella! for an extremely overpriced $75!!!
Excellent! What a gourmet chef ... congrats Don Fabrizio... It was very nice to meet you ... the pasta is fresh. Did by himself. I had an marvelous octopus with vegetables.
Whenever we travel in Brazil we always try to hit a Boa Lembranca restaurant. Picked up our 20th plate tonight. Had no idea the chef/owner was Sicilian, but when we saw the three legged Trinacria emblem on the servers’ aprons we knew we were in for a treat, or at least we hoped. We were not disappointed. EVERYTHING was excellent from the caponata, octopus appetizer to the main courses. Service was truly first class and blew us away, as good as any top city anywhere in the world. They know what they are doing here. Extensive wine list and fairly priced. Cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant.
As Italian of course the expecation is high and in Brazil difficult to get very good pasta. However we were positively surprised and the papardelle with meat and the spaghetti bolognese were al dente and the sauce good (though a bit too much sugar in the bolognese). The starter with the pulpo carpaccio was god to but a bit too much salt and pepper. Hover over all we recommend this Italian compared to others in Arrial d’Ajuda. Also the service is very attentive and quick!
