Nosolo Italia - Porto

On a recent visit to Porto, we popped into Nosolo Italian for dinner. The service was not very friendly and the food disappointing. When seeing my favourite starter Minestrone Soup I opted for this. Big mistake as what arrived was a plate of stewed veg with no liquid or bread although the veg was tasty definitely not what I was expecting. Not wanting to complain I awaited my main another go to Chicken Milanese with spaghetti. Having encountered some variations in restaurants I checked if the spaghetti came in a tomato sauce, the waiter confirmed it was in a sauce. However when it arrived there was no sauce just plain spaghetti. I then raised the issue of no sauce on the pasta and a bowl of tasteless sauce was plonked on the table. Unfortunately my wife settled the bill before I got a look and surprisingly they had charged for extra sauce. Typical chain Italian restaurant that was staffed by youngsters.

We walked a long way to find one of the highest rated pizza places on Trip Advisor and apparently it was closed on a Wednesday afternoon. I still can 't figure out how 4 or 5 others recently reviewed that business. Anyway, after some more typical uphill trekking to find someplace to eat a good pizza, we found ourselves at this spacious, very open feeling restaurant, and lo and behold, they offered pizza as well as many other things on their menu. I found the two wait persons who helped us to be very friendly and attentive to our needs. We even asked them to re-heat the pizza after we had slowly eaten about half, and they were more than willing to do so. We also enjoyed a very good salad and was tempted by the tremendous looking desserts, but decided to pass today, but we likely will come back for more of the good looking food available from this upscale street side restaurant.

Very disappointing experience. Evidence of poor food preparation with the intestines left in the prawns. Lack of understanding by the staff. Cold atmosphere in the restaurant.

Fui a um jantar de aniversário no nosolo e não encontrei nada especial. os convidados estavam atrasados e mesmo depois de dissemos que esperaria que o resto perguntar o que fosse, insistiu em perguntar mais vezes do que o agradável. o menu é caro para o que é. Pedi uma lasanha e depois do primeiro rebanho sabia tudo ao mesmo tempo. Não é mau, mas não faz diferença. a equipe em geral é amigável e útil, entrou no humor da festa e até mesmo torceu quando cantamos parabéns. não voltaria devido ao preço em comparação com o que eles apresentam.
