Xico - Portland

From an ambience, service and experiential standpoint, Xico is very nice. You won't go wrong. Interesting and varied cocktail options, unique salsas and flavors generally. Very attentive and kind staff. The food is certainly good, but for the price, it's not knock-your-socks-off exceptional. Flavors just need to be brightened up a bit.

I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant, and the food was delicious! It was a bit spicy for my taste, but still very enjoyable. The drink called "I'll Take You There" was refreshing and perfect for a chilly spring day.

The restaurant features an upscale Mexican menu that goes beyond the usual Tex-Mex offerings. We began our meal by sharing a delightful beet mole that was light, slightly spicy, and very flavorful. One of us ordered the carne asada, while the other chose the pollo en mole. The carne asada was served with homemade corn tortillas and a flavorful red pepper sauce. The pollo en mole consisted of a half rotisserie chicken, accompanied by rice and a delicious mole sauce that had a distinct hint of chocolate.

I can not say enough about how happy we are that we had our special family/wedding party at Xico on June 19th 2021. Liz and the staff listened to our vision and delivered a perfect event! The space was beautiful and the staff was amazing, of course the food was delicious too. Thank you for making our event so special. We will definitely plan future parties at your restaurant!

Tasty fresh food. Very nice ceviche. Service is slow and disorganized. Very less light. Many were using their cell phone flashlight to read the menu.
