Upper Left Roasters - Portland

I've been testing every roaster I can find around PDX and Upper Left blew me away. Hands down the best coffee I've had in town, and this is a great coffee town. Appreciate the variety of bean profiles. Sparkling water with espresso to clear palate for tasting is a pro-touch.

The coffee and food at this restaurant are outstanding. The egg croissant sandwich might just be the best I've ever tasted in the Pacific Northwest. If they could make the atmosphere a bit cozier, it would definitely earn a 5-star rating. Parking can be quite limited in the area, and since this place is often busy, it's best to visit without time constraints.

Wonderful café that lived up to my expectations! I ordered the nova lox toast and a matcha. The toast was delightful, with an excellent poblano pepper schmear and fresh lox. However, the matcha could have been served a bit hotter. The prices are reasonable, and I definitely plan to return to sample the other toast options! The ambiance is great, filled with good natural light. Just a heads up, you'll need to show a vaccine card for indoor dining.

The coffee is exceptional and priced fairly. The staff is incredibly friendly. As a diabetic, I would appreciate it if you offered some kind of artificial sweetener.

A small block away from Hawthorne, Upper Left Roasters is a perfect place to catch up with friends or read a book by yourself. The indoor space is well lit with natural lights from the big window, the patio area also has plenty of seats. I had a latte, which was pretty good; they also offer a small selection of food item like avocado toasts.
