The Vern - Portland

I never expected Buffalo Wings to have the flavor of holiday ham, but this restaurant managed to do it! However, I was not a fan of the wings.

The Vern has been a popular restaurant for some time now, and despite its unique characteristics, it continues to impress. The eclectic array of artwork creates a vibrant atmosphere that appeals to a diverse range of people, and the establishment is kept clean and well-maintained. While the food is typical of bar cuisine, it is excellent - served hot, quickly, and exactly to your liking. The bartenders and servers are friendly and personable, with a professional yet welcoming demeanor. The prices are reasonable and there is a wide selection of drinks available, including beers, ciders, cocktails, and spirits. The outdoor patio area is particularly impressive, featuring covered seating and heating options. The location is convenient and easily accessible. I recently dined at The Vern with a large group and the staff handled our party with efficiency and grace. Overall, I give The Vern a perfect score and highly recommend it - you won't be disappointed.

Overpriced beer, lengthy waits, and rude customers. The addition of security, essentially glorified bouncers, only adds to the negative atmosphere of the bar. In the words of NPCs in Skyrim, "Never should have come here!" The old Portland charm is long gone. It's best to stick to downtown establishments instead.

Old school portland with a new school feel. Love what they did with the patio. Super comfy and casual spot.

Love the Vern! The rotating cocktails keep me coming back, and the food is solid.
