A bummer was that on Friday at 6:00 no chicken was available. I said it was a few hours. Otherwise waiter was nice, service was prompt, price fair, and no wait, in a beautiful outdoor terrace with a fire pit. Very dog friendly and friendly place too.
Veg. Food Review: Bland Food. That's pretty how I put it together. When I say Bland, I don't mean hot. I mean flavors. There was hardly any taste in the Burrito bowl. Not the salsa and chips. So popular, but definitely different from what I had eaten a long time ago. Unfortunately. I'm sure it looked good. Service was nice.
I love Tamale. What I loved about these fools is that they were not dry. The regularly wound Tamale was spot on, but the banana leaf wrapped tamale was unreal, so amazing taste. Must try it!
This is their quesadilla with tinga de pollo served with a guac sauce and pickled onions. The chicken is absolutely to die for! I couldn't pause long enough for a proper photo as you can see. Super cute atmosphere, great outdoor seating with both covered and uncovered options. Dog friendly. Staff is friendly and quick to get out orders. It's been on my list for a while to try and I'm so glad the stars aligned for this meal. Real, traditional Mexican food can be so hard to find in the various other places I've lived so it's a real treat to find so many amazing options in Portland. This place is definitely high ranking!
OMG. Everything was delicious. The tamales were huge! We got mole, cochinita pibil and rajas. The Brussels Sprouts were great! The jicama and watermelon salad was so fresh. Can?t wait to visit again!!
