Sunee's Thai Lao Kitchen - Portland

I came here to get takeout after a show next door, it was around 10pm and they were still open. There were two others waiting for takeout and two others dining in. There was a person up front who took my order so I got salad rolls and vegan Tom kha to go. She was nice but left about 15 minutes later which left the front of the house totally empty. I was confused because it said they are open 4pm to 4am o. The sign on their front door. So now with her being gone it 's just the people in the kitchen? I asked the chef "are your hours really 4pm to 4 am and he said he wasn 't actually sure. Ok. I think he might have been a new employee and he was otherwise really nice...my Tom kha was SO SO good and the salad rolls were legit. But this place was a bit weird, I 'd expect all the employees to actually know the hours of operation. My food was really good so I 'll probably be back, but seems like something weird is going on with the management.

Enjoyed the Spicy Chicken Wings, Pad Ga Prow stir fry with beef, with a Singha beer! Highly recommended! Wonderful location, across the street from a great microbrewery Gastropub Grand Fir Brewing as well as Revolution Hall!

Once more into the... kitchen? seats? something. Sunee is proximate to Revolution Hall and we had an event there so once again it was time for a visit. This time, as part of our continuing quest to find the best Thai beef salad (yum nua) around, my partner had their very delicious rendition, and I being slightly less adventurous had the chicken panang curry. The venue was full of other show-goers, with a wide collection of concert tees covering about 40 years; the tables weren't all full but full enough to keep the server hopping. Despite that, we were waited on and served promptly and with great friendliness. The panang curry was super tasty, spiced to perfection. The yum nua was very tasty but lacking the crunchy crust from a super hot sear, leaving the interior of the meat very rare. Other than that, it was delicious. Once again, highly recommended. It's become our go-to for Thai in that part of town.

I'm in the hospital right now with food poisoning, I bought the duck soup with rice, I ate 3 or 4 bites after I got back to work and then threw it in the trash because it didn't taste right, I have salmonella poisoning, I'm 100% certain it came from here because I've been fasting and the duck was the only thing I've eaten in 2 days, I feel like I may die, if I live through this I'm going to go back and try to get my 22$ back that I spent on rotten food, I was there at 3am July 1st, my name is Russell Roberts, phone number is 503-855-7633, I want to add that the woman was extremely nice and I really liked the atmosphere but food poisoning is horrible

I ordered a buy one get one free chicken Pad Thai from this restaurant on Uber Eats. Unfortunately, it took them over an hour to prepare my food. When I finally received it, the Pad Thai was missing chicken, cilantro, lime juice, peanuts, and chili. I was also disappointed that there was no option to choose the spice level when I placed my order. Overall, the Pad Thai was terrible.
