Slingshot Lounge - Portland

I had a great visit in the middle of the week. While I'm not a beer enthusiast, the restaurant had Hahn on tap, and it seemed like the clientele mostly favored beer. I heard they have a solid selection. The service was prompt and attentive, with the staff regularly checking in. Our drinks and food arrived quickly. This spot is quite popular for its dirty martinis. I typically ask for extra dirty, but this time my drink came out quite brown and a bit too dirty for my taste. I drank it but requested a less dirty one for my next round, and they got it just right! They had onion rings as a special, and they should definitely keep that on the menu! They were crispy, the beer batter was just right, and the onions were perfectly cooked—some of the best I've ever had. I ordered the fried cauliflower, but for some reason, the last couple of times I tried it, it felt different, perhaps more like it was pre-made. Maybe it has changed or maybe my memory is off. Regardless, I'm glad to report it's still tasty, and I'll continue to order it. We also had the Caesar salad, which was pretty standard but came in a generous portion and was delicious. Overall, it's a lovely place to hang out, making it a great spot to enjoy drinks and snacks with friends.

I'm pretty regular when I live a block or two away, but recently, two of the bartenders have treated my very rude. I don't complain or cause anger, but they've been announcing that it's clear that they just don't like me personally and do their job. I was cut off after a drink, but they didn't tell me they only ignored me ten minutes and then attacked me when I asked what I did. I don't want to apologize where I'm not welcome and I don't have to apologize to a bartender who yells at me. No good place to drink or hang out if you do not want to be treated like dirt. I thought they wanted my money, but I guess someone's gonna get it now.

Good food, but the bartenders hate me for an unknown and undeserved reason. Only a nice bartender met. She was something soft-spoken girl with glasses that A with human dignity and excellent service.

Great food, great service, and a ton of really cool art pieces from what I am guessing is a local artist. I did buy a piece but forgot to ask about the artist was. Had the blue cheese and bacon burger and it was amazing. Pool, video games, and a great bar.

I can't praise the staff here enough—they're incredibly friendly! All the food is delicious, with a fantastic selection of tasty bar bites and specials. I also love the cocktails, especially the dirty martini!
