Contribuiți la feedbackI have been trying to get to the Screen Door for some time now, I finally made it in on my why home from PDX the perfect breakfast place if your heading that direction). Turns out is was everything I had hoped and more. I order their legendary chicken and waffles and my other half ordered biscuits and gravy with a side of scrambled eggs. The chicken was perfectly cooked, golden brown juicy and crispy and just the right amount of batter. The waffle was also perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and light and moist on the inside. The biscuits were fluffy with stick to your ribs gravy. As a foodie I have say that eggs are not that easy to cook well and our eggs were very good. If you haven't been here try them out, I think you'll be glad you did. As always be mindful, be happy and be the best you.
They are busy, but that's worth waiting! we waited on Sunday at 1 o'clock. they have a cute terrace area waiting for them as well as benches inside. they can order biscuits drinks while waiting. their employees wear masks that they after use sanitize every table. they understand their efforts! we did not first order the Praline Bacon, but after chat with the neighbour we decided to add an order. it was so good, not super sweet. we also have the chicken biscuit with pigshot promotes the French toast. all very good! we have to come back to try more articles. let someone go to their names, then they're looking for parking.
We tried a parachute door to the brunch on the New Year's Day and it was a great decision! the restaurant was pretty busy and they said we had to wait, but it was maybe 3 minutes before they set us. the chickens were the top notch—I feel like you really shiny the chicken right for this court and they nailed it! flavorful moist! two of us ordered that the banan French toast promote and it was super delicious. our other friend got the Speck practice waffel and said it was really good. would definitely recommend and will hopefully be back soon!
There was a short line when we arrived at 15 minutes before the opening. shortly after, there were at least 20 other parties. the place is large and offers interior and exterior food and socially distant, which was beautiful in view of the pandemic. service was fast and I forgot the names of our waiter, but he was a joy. he was very attentive and offered many suggestions. eating is really delicious (see photos,) offered large portions and of great quality. the cocktails were delish. I would definitely come back.
The screen door has been one of my favorite breakfast places in portland for years. the only thing I don't like is the waiting time, but we went by the afternoon and didn't have to wait! our server rudy was wonderful and very patient with my group. we loved every article we ordered. many thanks for another great Brunch screen door!
