Contribuiți la feedbackVisited in Aug 2023This place usually appears in most lists of F&B establishments to visit in Portland, and hence we obliged. Our experience was really nice. Good breakfast/brunch place where you have many choices. We primarily went with the intention to try the biscuit sandwiches and we weren’t disappointed ?. I would recommend visitors to do so too. Among the non biscuit dishes, we ordered and liked the blueberry pancakes. All in all a really nice place to have a meal in Portland
Couldn’t give this more than 5 stars but if I could, I would! Everything here is fantastic! My boyfriend got the McIsley and I got the veggie Reggie deluxe. We also got some coffee and a peach cobbler pop tart. Wow so good, it makes you sad to eat the last bite. Great veggie biscuits and gravy! Their shiitake mushroom gravy is SO good. One of the best I’ve ever had.
The cornmeal pancakes are excellent-a bit fluffier than I was expecting (compared to a homemade recipe we’ve used for years). Just enough blueberries to make them delicious, not soggy! Egg and cheese biscuit tasted yummy, but seemed a bit heavy. Hash browns were huge, tasty and crispy. We’d go back for the unique, fun menu and for the amazing coffee options.
We came for brunch around noon on a Sunday, as many people had recommend that we eat here. This place has an open kitchen you order at the counter, grab a table number, and seat yourselves at any available table. We waited for about an hour after ordering our food. We looked over to see the staff looking confused about a plate and watched it sitting there under the heat lamp for about 15 minutes. We decided to go over to check on our order as we saw many customers who were behind us already finishing their meals and leaving. We told them our number and said that they must have lost our ticket and apologized, and said that this sometimes happens when things get busy. They gave us the plate that we saw them being confused over and then shortly the remainder of our order came through within 10 minutes, saying sorry for the wait. The food was all right, but it was overpriced for what it was $40 for counter service lunch for 2 people, chicken was dry). The staff was moderately apologetic, but gave excuses for the service. We are not sure if we will come back.
Nice and attentive staff for a bus-your-own-table restaurant.Iced coffee was not so good, bad bitter. Could not put enough creamer in it to smooth it out.The place was clean. The inside seating area was very hot with no apparent air conditioning. Outside seating was both shaded and unshaded. The blueberry-lemon bar/cake was meh. Won't buy it again.
