Tillamook cheese grilled sandwich? Fabulous and yummy and so soul satisfying. The Pioneer Square environment is fun and artistic. Add some food truck choices and happy people and music and sunshine and you have a wonderful day.

MAN we had high hopes for this truck! It was a rainy day in Portland and a grilled cheese with tomato soup sound like exactly what the Dr ordered! We ordered a Melty and Meaty sandwich, a Pioneer Square Club and a cup of the Creamy Tomato Fennel Soup. The best way to describe the Melty and Meaty sandwich was anemic . Very little meat and very little melty. The grilled sour dough was burnt, like black burnt. The Pioneer Square Club sandwich, was meh . If was warm and melty , I think it would set it apart from a meh club sandwich. I know a club sandwich is supposed to be a triple decker, but the sour dough was so hard it made it challenging to eat. Maybe convert it to a Melty and Extra Meaty sandwich without the lettuce! You would save on the bread and lettuce! Lastly, the Tomato soup was on the cold side. I think it could have been because we ordered shortly after the truck opened, so maybe it didn 't get the chance to warm If the owner is open to suggestions, you might consider using a butter product from Chef Shamy. It 's a Garlic Parmesean and Basil butter. Use it to grill your bread and you will take your sandwiches to another level! Great flavor!!

I don't get it. I tried their namesake Melty Meaty sandwich and sadly it's neither melty nor meaty. The taste was fine but nothing amazed me. Its portion seems meager, my first impression of the sandwich is how light the package feels in my hand, and indeed everything in it is pretty thin. For $10 there gotta be lots of better options out there and adding just a few bucks you can get a grand lunch somewhere than a pretty slim sandwich.

The customer service was great and I didn't have to wait very long for my food. The low rating is because I got food poisoning from the Grilled Mortadella. I visited on February 21st around 12PM. My partner didn't get sick from his sandwich (he purchased a different sandwich). He enjoyed it and didn't get sick.

If you like grilled cheese sandwiches and like tillamook cheese, this is the spot for you. It's a cart located in the Pioneer Square area among a few other carts. They have a great grilled cheese and fantastic cheese fries.
