Ok Omens - Portland

Dinner last night at OK Omens exceeded our expectations. Amber, our server went above and beyond to make us feel welcome not just at the restaurant but to Portland as well. She wrote down a list of her favorite restaurants for us, new arrivals inPortland. We started off our meal with scallop crudo which was buttery, flavorful and fresh with a kick of Sichuan peppercorn.The Dungeness crab was the best dish. The crab meat was sweet and so tasty. The sourdough bread was perfect for mopping up thecrab dish. For mains, we had clams and trout. The trout was cooked expertly with crispy skin and moist meat. Large portion ofclams with creamy green sauce. Love the cucumber granita and basil ice cream on top of the butterscotch pot de creme. OK Omenshas a great wine list. We had a dry lovely French Chardonnay to go with our dinner. Not only the food was fresh and deliciousat OK Omens, Amber made it a special night for us. Can?t wait to go back when it?s not so hot and sit outside.

The clams, scallop and fries was my favorite for the night. Everything was tasty, but a couple of the dishes were a bit on the salty side. Overall, great experience and excellent service.

Wonderful outdoor dining space. Food is very good, service was excellent. Made for a lovely evening.

This was a great dining experience! The food was good with a few things that were outstanding like the brie butter, beignets, and salad with fried chicken. My only disappointment was that the excellent and expensive glass of French champagne I ordered was a very small amount--and I'm a light drinker. It definitely could have been more generous. The outdoor cabana worked well with the heater and provided separation. Service was excellent and friendly. Although we did not dine indoors, I appreciate that vaccine proof is required for indoor dining--made it feel safer just going in to use the restroom.
