My parents came to dinner and we just had a spectacular time. The service is top notch and the food is consistent and really good. We love the old school feeling.

Always a great place to take new visitors to Portland.

I have to say this was the most disappointing restaurant visit for as long as I can remember, our waiter did not care, his manner was rude. He seemed not the least concerned that one of Portland's supposedly sea food restaurants has nothing to apologize for when they do not offer any wild salmon-this is the Pacific NW. My wife had fish and chips, overcooked and dried out. Did enjoy some oysters though. Had to wait far to long for our cocktails-the bar was backed up, waiter please show at least a little concern for your guest. My martini glass was warm, not good enough-Jakes. The wine list is not extensive, but they had no Lange pinot gris. I received the check-no check, no credit card we gave the waiter to ensure our guests had no opportunity to take care of it. Had to find the manager to find out where out card was. Will not ever go back.
