Grand Central Bakery Cedar Mill Cafe

Wow! My first visit to Grand Central Bakery was incredible, and I can't believe I haven't been here sooner. I tried a variety of baked goods, and the bacon cheese quiche blew me away. The sweet potato tart was also amazing! Everything was delicious. The store was clean and organized, and the staff were pleasant, helpful, and friendly. My family and I have searched for a go-to bakery, and we've finally found it. Thank you, Grand Central Bakery! I can't wait to come back soon!

As for the food, I would say it was quite good. The muffins tasted homemade, just like the iced coffee and breakfast croissant I ordered. The only downside was the price; it ended up being nearly $20 for all three items—admittedly, the sandwich made up half of that cost, which felt a bit steep for what I received, hence the 4-star rating. I will definitely be back, but probably only as an occasional treat. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Portland!

I wanted to mention that the vegan specialty sandwich was a fantastic discovery, packed with tasty ingredients. However, one ingredient was particularly bitter. I appreciate the benefits of bitter greens and usually enjoy them, but this one was quite intense. It seemed to be the stems from the raab? Just wanted to give you that feedback! As I mentioned, I will be back soon to try the next specialty vegan sandwich! Thank you!

The day I was leaving Portland, I decided I wanted to get some bread and bakery treats to take back home. I looked online and saw the Grand Central Bakery was not too far away from my hotel and I decided to give them a try. I'm very happy I did! I bought a loaf of sour rye, which is excellent and has held up very well. Also a variety of baked treats and every one of them was a winner! I will definitely be repeating my visit to Grand Central on my next trip to Portland!

I just had a great experience at Grand Central. I popped in for a croissant and coffee on the way into the clinic and couldn’t help but grab some sourdough rye. The coffee was out and the barista not only told me how long it was going to take for the new brew but then offered to fill my coffee cup for me while it was brewing so I wouldn’t have to wait any longer. That level of customer service is what I love and appreciate, so cheers to the Grand Central team and keep up the good work.
