Driftwood Room - Portland

There's something pretty ironic about the rereading of the jungle when drinking a dirty upper shelf... or maybe that's my cynical soul that looked out. Spencer was absolutely delightful and while we both agreed Tequila is not the drink for me, I will be back as soon as possible to enjoy the dimly lit Happy Hour that looked absolutely delicious. Additional points for me feel like I'm in an episode of crazy people because nobody seemed to be on their phones and actually engaged in all the conversations they had.

Everything here from food to drinks to service and ambience was amazing. The sparrow was so good and definitely recommend the snowbirds or local peach (if you like absinthe! for a fun drink. One of the highlights of our Portland trip safely

We were looking for a place to eat a bite after we saw a game in downtown Portland. I was looking for Yelp to help find something nearby and still open. Yes, the walkways roll up early here in Portland on a Friday and Saturday night. With luck Driftwood Room came with great reviews and it was still open for another 45 minutes! Let's do this! We drove by and found parking in the front street. The building is relatively inconvenient on the outside. The bar is located in Hotel deluxe. It has a look back at 50s fluctuating mood while you go up the stairs to the hotel. The bar is small but juicy and stylish. I was immediately satisfied and we were lucky to find an open table on the back of the bar. The setting is intimate with leather couch / bank through the rear half of the small area. On each table there are candles and a cool wooden decoration that dresses the walls. The service was great. We were warmly welcomed and provided the menu that has a large cocktail list, full bar and bar bites. We ordered the appetizers of Fritten who come to a bacon hollandaise sauce. I said BACON! Amazing!!! We split the steak and the frits. Again the steak was made very good, depth of taste and quality meat. The frits were thin and crunchy! I accompanied my meal with a cosmopolitan. I am so excited that we have found this point and I am looking forward to the return and possibly also try their happy hour. While the menu is more limited, everything I saw looked delicious! They have appetizers, seafood, a chicken dish and meat from steak to pork. Definitely deserves a 5-star rating!

Felt like a classic cocktail bar with the dimming lights and the furnishings we enjoyed. The bartenders were well versed in the different spirits and were able to deliver some of our favorite classics in style! Not to mention, the apps are high and well paired with our drinks. Pic is after the cause we enjoyed it too much!

Small, intimate and sexy! The selection and quality of Manhattans are excellent. Its always a bonus to get one of the tables but bar service is also good.
