Looked like it's been done up recently. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly. Expect solid portions of tasty British food rather than fine dining. Kids menu was OK. Atmosphere was a bit flat as we were the only ones in but it was midweek out of high season. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Good food and drink and very hospital and tidy. Local gave up his his table so our group of four could sit and drink/eat together. Prawn sandwiches and a poke of chips. Very good. Good pint of Doombar. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Stopped off after a bike ride did not stay long enough to draw any conclusions. They were doing Wednesdays mid week roasts for 5..99.which seemed to be a substantial plate full by I never tried it.
