Meu lugar favorito se você deseja alguma experiência de tapas locais. Experimente o polvo e os camarões com alho. O vinho da casa é sempre uma aposta segura.
We three went to have some typical Portuguese food at a local restaurant. We walked by, looked at the menu and the chef was inside, however they weren’t opening for another hour so we moved on. We decided to go back the next evening for a light dinner of Bread soup with Prawns. We each enjoyed a glass of refreshing sangria-yummy! The chef explained how he had transformed this simple soup but kept its integrity as a typical Portuguese soup. It was absolutely delicious. The presentation and garnish of head-on shrimp was perfect! We had never had octopus, we gave it a try. It was delicious! We also tried to decide on which desserts we should get. We each had one- the sweet potato roll, carob tart and tart made with a special, local herbal liquor we the perfect ending! The owner was our attentive waiter and to have chef Daniel able to explain the food was an extra delight. I’m sure the menu changes but all that we ate was the perfect ending to a great day. Tasca is on a street that’s bustling with activity- we liked that as well. A definite to go to and worthy of Five stars.
We escaped the hustle and bustle of Praia du Rocha and spent an evening in the town of Portimao. We stumbled upon Táscá and were drawn in by its rustic charm and local wine offering. Tasca offered a wide range of traditional Portuguese food ‘tapas’ style and so we indulged in a range of plates, allowing us the chance to try some new dishes. The cod fritters and the Portuguese sausage balls were the stand outs for us. We sampled local rosè from the Algarve, and tried two traditional Portuguese desserts which were DELICIOUS!!! The waiter was very helpful in explaining each dish and it’s origin to the Algarve. Finally, the whole meal was exceptional value. Especially the wine. Tasca offers something unique in a place where a lot of the menus are copy and paste!
